Return Policy

We want you to know that your happiness with our diamonds and jewelry is our highest priority. As such, we offer a 60-day return policy, allowing you plenty of time to ensure everything is just right. If you decide to return your purchase for any reason, simply send it back within 60 days along with the diamond certificate (if applicable), and we’ll provide you with a refund to your original form of payment or store credit, whichever you prefer. Clean Origin covers the cost of return shipping for all product returns.

Loose natural diamonds purchased without a setting are eligible for return in the form of store credit only. Natural diamonds purchased with a setting are eligible for a full refund to the original form of payment.

All returned items must include all original documentation (including diamond certificates) and must be returned in their original, out-of-the-box condition. Your 60-day return window begins on the day your order is ready for delivery or pickup, ensuring you have ample time to fall in love with your purchase.

Orders that have been exchanged or resized are not eligible for return and are considered final sale. Previously returned orders will be treated as exchanges.

Custom orders may only be returned for store credit. Upon receipt of your custom item within the 60-day return period, we will issue a store credit to your Clean Origin account. Your store credit never expires and can be applied toward any future purchase. If you choose to apply your store credit toward a new custom piece, this is considered a one-time re-design. Redesigned custom pieces are also considered final sale.

Store Credit

Store credit can be selected as a refund option at the time of return or issued in cases where a purchase is only eligible for store credit. It can be used toward any future purchase on CleanOrigin.com, never expires, and is non-transferable.

Returning Your Order

In order to return your order, please follow these instructions:

Obtain your shipping label: Contact us at returns-exchanges@cleanorigin.com and we will provide the paperwork, instructions, and free return shipping label within 48 hours, via email. Free return shipping labels are only available in the United States at this time.

Preparing your purchase for Return: It is very important that you include all of the original packaging and accompanying materials with your return, including the diamond and/or jewelry certificate (to avoid being charged a $100 certificate replacement fee) and the original packing slip. For resizes, please retain your original certificates and related materials. To avoid security issues, please do not write anything on the packaging that could be used to identify its contents.

Insurance: There is insurance available on your product return or re-size, but ONLY if you use the provided prepaid label, apply the return code, and follow the instructions provided by customer service. We highly recommend that the package should be dropped off at a carrier staffed location (ex: FedEx store), as Clean Origin and carriers are not responsible for packages dropped off at unstaffed drop boxes or non-official staffed locations.

Refund Process

Once your return is received, our Returns Department will carefully inspect the item. All unboxing is recorded to ensure accuracy and confirm that the returned contents match what was sent. Once verified, which can take up to seven (7) business days from receipt, Clean Origin will issue your refund according to the original payment method used for the order.

Credit card refunds may take up to one full billing cycle to appear on your statement, depending on your issuer. Refunds for bank wire payments are issued by check. Store credit refunds are applied directly to your Clean Origin account and are available for immediate use toward any future purchase.

Please note that duties, taxes, and customs fees paid to carriers are non-refundable.

You must obtain a return shipping authorization code from us prior to returning. If you do not include this code on your return label or if the packaging does not meet the above standards, we may refuse delivery or you may be charged a re-stocking fee of $150. You have 14 days from the issuance of the return authorization code to ship your return. All requests for refunds may require you to complete additional paperwork to document the request.
